Apple TV update to a specific iOS apple tv 2

Hi everyone,

I have an apple tv on 4.4.4 and want to update it to a higher os so i can mirror my macbook. I have all the blobs saved can i simply use season pass and choose which ipsw I want to update to, or will it not work and I will have to be on the newest and non jail breakable iOS.

If you have the blobs saved yes you should be able to stitch whichever ipsw you want to restore to. If all else fails it will pull your current 4.4.4 blobs and you'll be able to restore back to that too.

Make sure you're not on the newer versions of iTunes though since those won't downgrade firmware anymore. I think iTunes 11.0.5 is the last one that will work but I'm not 100% sure since I'm still on 10.7. If you upgraded you can downgrade iTunes on Mac and PC as well.
