I updated all of my devices to iOS 7 then to 7.0.3 and two dramatic changes: speed and battery life. It's been a couple of weeks and the declines are consistent.

The iPhone 4 is 1-5 seconds between touches on any internet connected or search app. iPads are not quite as slow.

Battery % drops on all devices immediately - this is much faster drain. iPad 2 lasts 3-5 hours use vs. weeks before needing a charge.

Is this normal or exceptional?

Is this 'Conspiracy' to force buying new devices?

Any and all serious replies are greatly appreciated.
