As you may or may not know, Kay's guessed at the specs for their TPU back and the original ones shipped out did not fit the smartcover. They wrote us and said they would send us a rectified one, now that they had a mini in hand. I received it today, and am more than satisfied - nice fit for an easy, cheap way to protect the pad if you use a smartcover:
Nice job around the connector/speakers:

no hole for rumored rear mic:

Yeah I got mine too, problem is the lip of the case is so thick above the screen it makes an already ill-fitting Smart Cover almost impossible to lay flat. I do like TPU backs tho.

try rearranging the hinge - that is - put on the cover and hold the hinge away from the pad - position it and then let the hinge snap down - mine lays completely flat on the tpu edge and the sleep wake works - but I thought you returned your smartcover?:

huh? no it's not the hinge, it's the fact that the tpu is thick and goes beyond the face of the ipad's plane surface

letting the hinge grab closer to the plane surface allows the cover to sit flatter.

You're missing the point. The TPU adds a lip to the face of the iPad on 3 corners... no matter how much "shifting" and "grabbing" you do, it doesn't make the lip go away, so the Smart Cover doesn't actually sit on the screen edges, it rests on the TPU\plastic lip of the Kays case. Normally it's not a big deal on the big iPads because the magnets are so strong, but the already weak contact on the mini creates an even bigger problem with the tpu case from keys cases. I was disappointed.
