I recently purchased a 120 Gb drive to put in my original MBA. The iStore said they could order and install a 120G drive for $250 out the door. I got the drive for $100. As I put it in, the ribbon cable from the drive is a different size and has a different connector to the board. Does anyone know if there is a different ribbon to use to make this work? Are there two versions of the 120G HDD where one would fit and the other would not? Just curious. Hoping I didn't throw away a hundred bucks.
Thanks,
Blu

Sounds like your 120 gig you got is a SATA with a LIF connector. If your air is a rev. a which you said "original" I'm going to assume it is, you would need a 120 gig PATA with a ZIF connector.
