[Resolved: Made a new bootable USB drive, on a different kind of USB drive.. weird as the other one worked on multiple machines already]

Hi there,

I'm about to upgrade a mid 2007 to Mavericks as this is the minimum requirement.

Apple iMac "Core 2 Duo" 2.0 20-Inch
Identifiers: Mid-2007 - MA876LL - iMac7,1 - A1224 - 2133

Now I have a USB thumbdrive which I use for any upgrade ( I do it quite often for other people) and that one works. On my Macbook Pro, and 3 times before a succesful upgrade on different computers

Now the mid 2007 iMac did not recognise it when booting with ALT.
I was already able to wipe the drive with the orignal DVD's, but again, it won't read the thumbdrive as a bootable drive, while it does work on my Macbook Pro (early '11)

Any thoughts?

PS I have a full backup with timemachine and made sure it has enough RAM (4GBs)
