iPhone 15/Plus Upgrading from older pro to non pro

Anyone thinking of upgrading from an older pro model to the iPhone 15 instead of iPhone 15 pro? I’m going from a 12 pro and thinking of upgrading to the 15 as you don’t get that much more with the pro.

I am thinking of going from a 13 pro to a 15. I have 7 people on my family plan. So upgrading my 13 pro to a 15.

My wife has a 14 pro and I don’t think the 15 is much of an upgrade.

T-mobile will let me trade in my 13 pro plus $200 for a 15. So might do it. Next year it goes to my mom. I’ll give her phone to one of the kids and trade the worst one towards a 16 pro that will hopefully be more impressive.

I just need to cycle the phones. To not have them be too old

I also just got the 2 14s for adding 2 lines(1 line is free with a total of 3 free lines) and the 14 pro max. Upgraded an 11 and got $350 for it.

Going to ask Costco where I got it if I can switch the pro max for a 15 pro since it’s just been 2 weeks. The 2 14s were buy 1 get 1 free.

I went from a 14 Pro Max to a 14 for the year - I didn't miss dynamic island but I sure missed telephoto lens - though it might be ok with the new camera that does 2 x (digital) zoom

Going from 12 Pro to 15/15 Plus, will miss out on telephoto lens which only the Pro models have. If zoom is not required then it should be ok.

I will probably switch from 14 Max to 15 Plus. Main reason for me is the weight difference which is a lot with 40g. I know that the 15 Max has also a bist less weight but it’s way to expensive where I live and I don’t even need 256GB storage. I only take photos from time to time and only as a hobby so I don’t need the best camera.

Different chip and chassis as well, and yes promotion! I really liked the 14 size, so I will miss that on the 15 PM. Hopefully the 15 works out well for you - the colours are great!

I’m going from a 14 Pro to a 15. I didn’t use much of the Pro features. Tuned off AOD quickly as it was distracting. Hopefully I won’t miss ProMotion.

Just realised LiDAR too. That helps with macro photography and night portrait I think?
