Upgrading from Yosemite to High Sierra help please

I would love some help with upgrading from my current OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 to High Sierra...I have a mid 2011 MAC 21.5. Recently, I have been receiving messages from Chrome that I cannot upgrade chrome because it requires a 10.11 or later.

But when I go to the Apple icon and look for updates, there are none. These forums seem to be indicating I can upgrade all the way to High Sierra.

Could someone walk me through the process please? Many thanks
