I have a imac and the highest mac os that will work on it is mac os 10.11. I have mac os 10.6 on it right now and i downloaded mac os 10.7 and 10.8 app from the apple web site. When i try to install 10.7 it will start to install and less then 10 seconds i get a message saying the file is damage can't continue. When i try to install 10.8 it will get as far as me putting in my password to install it after i press enter it will sit there and a message pops up telling me i need to download it from the app store. I downloaded it on my other mac book pro that running 10.11 with safari and copy it to my imac i trying to upgrade to 10.11. I can't figure it out and don't know what i doing wrong. Thanks for the help.
