I have a mid 2011 Mac Mini with an SSD as the OS drive. I have two portable drives hooked up via USB, one for Time Machine, and one to store the Photos Library. I presume the OS drive will be APFS and the Photos Drive and the Time Machine drive will stay HFS, correct? Should I unplug the two portable drives first then upgrade without the photo library being mounted? Has anyone run into any issues with this sort of setup?
