US order turn arounds?

So I just ordered a 32gb wifi+3g iPad. I had a 16gb since day one, and I loved it, but I found myself wanting more space and the 3g capabilities. So after selling that, I went to apple.com and ordered myself one. How long is it going to take to get my Pad? I know right now things are rough, but I wonder how long it is will take to get to me. Any ideas? Recent experiences?

I ordered (64 3G) from the US apple.com store on May 22 (last Saturday) and my order status says that it will ship on June 8.

I too am wondering what people's experiences are. What does your order status say?

I ordered mine on the 22nd and it ships on the 8th as well. Before ordering I also reserved one at a local Apple Store, so hopefully one shows up there first!

Yeah just to be clear, the estimated ship of June 8 is 11 business days from my order date. When I ordered the store said 7-10 business days before shipping.

So if the shipping estimate on my order page is correct they're failing to meet the 7-10 estimate guess on the store front.

I also ordered the Apple iPad case but it did not ship with the iPad and has a estimate of June 16 shipping date.

I bought the same model on May 23. It'll ship on June 8 and be delivered on June 11. This sucks, I know.

I placed my order on Saturday (5/21) The ship date was June 8 and my anticipated arrival date was June 11.

I personally didn't want to wait that long, so I signed up for Notify Me at two Apple Stores near me on Sunday and on Tuesday the Apple store in my town e-mailed me and told me that my iPad was on reserve waiting for me and today I got an e-mail saying the same thing from the other Apple store.

So long story short in my opinion if there is a Apple Store within reasonable driving time I would sign up for notify me because the longest wait I've heard of at the Apple store is about 8 days.

Nope my estimate ship day was June 1st.

Ain't necessarily so. I ordered at my Apple store on the 16th of May. This is day 11 with no email as yet.

Awesome. Well I have some waiting around to do then sadly. However, I am curious, where can I check my order status? I haven't gotten an email from Apple confirming the order about 3 hours after placing it. Is that normal?

I ordered my 32-3g online Fri May 14, got it today Th May 27. was only 9-10 working days. orig. said Jun2 delivery. came early. to Texas, US.
you should get the email soon.

So today is 5/27. It says right now that it will be shipped on the 11th, and received on the 16th. That is WAY outside the 7-10 days. So is this first showing date an estimate? Will it be faster than that?

No, it's not way outside the 7-10 days. They are referencing working days, not calendar days.

For what it's worth, I ordered a 32GB 3G on 15 May with an estimated ship date of 1 June. It ended up shipping on 26 May.

I ordered a macbook pro and it came in 2 to 3 days early in their estimates. So, I suspect that you guys will get the iPad by June 6 or 7.
