Hi all,
I just bought an SSD for my 2008 mac pro. It's running sierra. I used carbon copy cloner to clone the OS to my new SSD. I select it in start up disk, and it boots straight to recovery/OS X Utilities. This a 2008 Mac Pro so I have to use the patcher to reinstall. I have a drive made with sierra patcher on it, but it doesnt show up in start up disk. Heres the punch line: I'm using a PC graphics card so I cant get to the option boot screen.
Is there anyway around this? aside from me pulling apart 2 computers to put the damn factory card back in it..

I actually solved my own problem. Put it in target disk mode and installed from my MacBook.
Also, I'm not entirely sure but I don't know if single user mode would work for a PC graphics card or not. I've never tried.
