USB or Firewire Sound Card?

Just bought a MacMini to use with my projector. Was hoping to get 5.1 surround sound. Is that possible with the mac mini? I can't seem to find any Mac usb or firewire sound cards to output 5.1 surround sound.

Use the optical out port built into your computer.

Maybe i should have stated that i have a G4 1.25 GHz mini. I didn't think they had optical out.
