Since several months I have used two USB3 Sandsik sticks. I used them today normally.
Unfortunatelly they stopped working when I inserted them again today, not showing up, neither visible via Disk Utility. Other USB sticks work OK (yet they are USB 2).
I inserted them into one PC Linux, they appear, and in anoter iMac - they appear too!
But they are invisible only to that MBP w. Yosemite.
I have even booted MBP into Linux live disc and even there they are not present. Seems that they are not present at the hardware level. As said, they work well on other machines, and USB2 sticks work well on the MBP.
