USBC Port midi/audio not recognizing interface.

I normally connect my iPad Pro 12.9 to my Roland DuoCapture to record mic, line audio and midi signals through the USBC Port
The interface midi audio signals will connect correctly to my iPhone.
The interface cable has been replaced.

The USBC port will correctly connect to charge the battery.

I recently updated to 16.3 iOS

I took steps to resolve by purchasing an iPad Pro. All interface connections worked flawlessly. I then noted it was not using 16.3. I’m un decided as to whether I’ll update to 16.3
