An MRoogle search or two came up fruitless, so I'll post the question here...
First, a bit of history: I've used the 5th gen nano in my sig to take video clips while on vacation. When the nano got close to filling up, I offloaded those to an old Toshiba notebook that I took along mainly as a temporary storage space for my nano-videos and light 'Net browsing in the hotel room. The Toshiba is hefty (a Satellite 1905, if anyone cares), and at 7 years is getting a bit long in the tooth.
My question is this: Can the iPad be used with the Camera Connection Kit in the same way, i.e. to hold video clips for the nano until I can get home and sync/transfer to my iMac for later editing? Has anybody here on MR done this yet?
My wife keeps talking about getting an iPad before our next vacation, and this would be the icing on the cake for me if this turns out to be doable (I would prefer a 13" MBP myself, but that's a harder sell for my wife).
