Carrier Verizon 8 Plus call quality not as good as 6S

Since I got my 8 Plus, I find it harder to hear/understand what callers are saying. The voice quality is slightly distorted. This happens on every call, incoming and outgoing.

Has anyone else experienced this? Do I need to contact Verizon or Apple?

The same thing is happening to me on my iPhone 8 (Verizon). What steps did you take to solve it? Thank you for your time and help.
