Sad story, recently lost my AW S7 in the Atlantic. :( Still owe $350 or so. Wearing my old S5 I never sold so at least I got that going for me.

It's also my wife's turn for an upgrade of her S6 Red with a deep scratch in the face. Checking the Verizon site I see they are offering 50% off if we buy 2 watches....so I'm sure you know what I started thinking.

I start loading it up, then I realize there is a $180 trade-in as well!! And they are stackable!!! Sooooo, if I trade-in my S5 and her S6, then get the $250 credit, it comes out to about $419 for both watches spread across 36 months. (Yeah, the stupid 36 month deal...but perhaps not such a bad thing for the AW.)

I'm planning to just set them both up as new lines and then cancel the old lines. This means I'll have to pay off the S7 that's currently buried in sand on the Jersey Shore somewhere, and my wife's S6 has one more payment to go, but this feels like a no-brainer.

Anyone else seeing any issues I'm missing here? (Other than my stupidity for body surfing with my AW on and the 36 month payments?) Would I be better off selling the S6 Red on CL (doubtful due to the scratch) Any other way to handle the payment on my lost device or just bite the bullet and pay? Any reason I can't set these up as new lines?

Ok, updating this. Once I started validating the trade-ins, they caused the $250 credit to drop off.

So I thought I'd just add the watches without the trade-ins. Somehow by adding one watch as a new line and upgrading another line, I eventually arrived at $400 off of the 2. So not too bad. My monthly payment on one is $5.55 and the other is $6.94. And yeah, still for that crappy 36 month term, but perhaps we can make that work out for an AW. I'll cross that bridge later. For now I'm happy with this deal.

$180 is a pretty good trade-in for a Series 6 aluminum. You might be able to fetch more since yours is the cellular model but the red color might cancel that out.

Also have to factor in hassle of selling it yourself.

So the deal I saw on my screen didn’t show up in the e-mailed receipt.

Anybody ever see the Verizon system show discounts that disappear after completing the sale? Looks like a bug, but I’m going to see if my screen shots work as leverage to get a CS rep to honor the prices I saw on my screen.
