Verizon family plan, family staying, mother taking spot

Hey,
I am looking to switch over to AT&T for the iPhone. I am on a family verizon plan. It has my Dad, and two sisters. My mother wants to get a cell phone. Can I switch to AT&T and keep my current number but to avoid cancellation fees have say my mother take over my spot in the verizon family plan. Can I do this? Help thanks!

Im no expert, but I dont thinks so. Contact a VZW rep and see what they say. Im thinking you can let your mom take your phone, as well as the number. That way the phone is active, and they wont charge the 200 cancellation fee.
