Sounds like you have to purchase this through Verizon website to get this waived? I wonder if they will do so if purchased on apple.com? I'd rather purchase my apple things through Apple only~

I bought iPhone 14 pro and Apple Watch ultra from Verizon site, both had activation fees

Will contact to see if they can waive

Probably due to their trash network publicity with iPhones. “Don’t pay to activate your phone on a trash network, do it for freeee”

You can always talk your way out of an activation fee
Agreed. I bought an Apple Watch with cellular (through Apple) had it activated under Verizon, got charged the fees, then returned the Apple watch later. Called them to have the line removed and they saw I didn't even have the line activated but for a few days so they reimbursed me all the fees and the line cost for the month without even asking. Results may vary but that was nice of them.
