I was looking in my Apple System Profiler under classic and found this...

It says that my 867 G4 is emulating around 266mhz in Classic... Maybe if Apple removed this speed barrier classic might run a little faster...

I just thought this up...

maybe there is a barrier of how much CPU classic can use to still make OS 10 run acceptably. I mean who would want all their background tasks to stop just because they are running some classic app...

Come to think of it, if this was built in the OS, this is maybe why Connectix has been ranting and raving about Apple applications only getting "as much CPU as they want".:eek:
