Hi - can any one confirm just how good/bad the iPad's VGA adaptor is? Do I get a complete video output from the iPad at all times, so can I see the OS/Games/Apps on the monitor?

Or is it similar to the iPhone's component cable whereby only limited stuff actually gets output?

Thanks!

Ugh, that's pretty horrible then. Nice of Apple to arbitrarily decide what I should use the peripheral for :| And WTF is this from your Apple link?

Additional Information

Note that HD playback at 720p requires an HDCP digital connection. If you attempt to play this content using the iPad Dock Connector to VGA Adapter, an alert will appear to let you know an HDCP-compatible device is required. To view iTunes Store content, sync the SD version of the video or use the Apple Component AV cable to play the HD version at 480p.

HDCP over an analogue VGA connection? It's another Apple world first!
