Video Distortion with 2016 MBP and LG Ultrafine 5K. Oh Crappy Volume controls too.

Is anyone else having video distortion on a 2016 13" MBP when connected to LG Ultrafine 5K when waking from sleep? I brought my MBP into the Genius Bar and they said this is the 1st they've heard of this issue.

I made video of what is happening.

In other news, my power button doesn't work. Is this common?

Also, see how the volume controls and sound in general with the external display is a bit lacking.

The diagnostics performed at the Genius Bar came back without any issues. They are taking my MBP in for a few days. Will keep updated.

Plot thickens. Just bought a brand new replacement 13" 2016 MBP (while the one I gave to apple is in the shop). Granted, I restored from backup (i.e. could be a software prob), but still having exact same issue.

Install macOS 10.12.x fresh on another volume. Boot from it, don't add any software or change any settings, and see if the same problem occurs.
