Does 16inch M1 Macbook pro support Dolby Vision? I've tried different players but none can play dolby vision videos without this purple tint.

Is there a video player that can play these videos with correct colors?

Anyway it takes 5 minutes or less to remux a mkv to mp4.

Why would you want to remux? Just play the native MKV file in Infuse, Plex, IINA ....

That file works perfectly in QuickTime after being remuxed in Subler too ;)
What settings have you used? It still displays "This file contains some media which isn’t compatible with QuickTime Player." in Big Sur and Monterey

Open Subler, select File -> New, import your file, save.

@HDFan IINA and Plex and MPlayer don't support Dolby Vision dynamic metadata. Maybe Infuse does? I don't know.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but that’s not just remuxing: it’s converting the E-AC3+Atmos, 6ch audio stream into an AAC, 2ch audio stream.

That's the default option, it keeps the eac3 track and create an aac too, if don't want it just set it to passthru.

An explanation of the reason it didn't work: there are two way to mux HEVC / Dolby Vision in mp4, one puts some extra data separately in the track header, the other keeps this extra data inside the actual video data. QuickTime supports only the former.

Pretty much anything will. But Infuse wont read all the DV layers on it. Only layer in profile 5. A UHD with DV will have other layers.
