Since I am without a TV, I watch videos by connecting my iPad mini to an old monitor with a Lightning to VGA adapter. I have a Pioneer stereo that is Airplay enabled, so I send my audio there, and it works out to be a fairly decent viewing experience.

Since I've updated to iOS7 I can no longer do this. As soon as I connect Airplay to my speakers, the video kicks back from the monitor back to my iPad (with a frozen video image stuck on the monitor). This is immensely frustrating - any ideas?

Using Bluetooth instead of Airplay doesn't help either - dubbing issues between audio & video.
