Voicemail app?

Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a voicemail app, that will record voice clips of callers, similar to that available on smartphones and symbian?
its just an app that accepts the call but plays a recorded message, then records the callers message.
saves on voicemail fees (in the UK) and could be a replacement for visual voicemail?
anyone?

bump, anyone come across any app yet that will record incoming calls? there has been a voice recorder created so theres 1/4 of the work, any think there is much chance of one for the non at&t iPhone users?
