So I bought one of those VPN services after some research on TorrentFreak and it seemed really promising: relatively cheap and didn't seem to slow down my connection at all.
Problem is: it won't stay connected for more than a few hours.
At first I thought it was bandwidth-related as the faster/bulkier my downloads were the quicker the connection seemed to drop.
But after long email exchange with the support I managed to make the connection last longer but still would drop after a while.
It doesn't matter if I'm downloading lots or not at all, it would either drop a couple hours later or I'll find out it dropped overnight.
What I want is for it to stay connected 24/7 is that possible to achieve using Sierra's network settings or do I really have to download the VPN app?
Haven't really gave it the app a try though, if it can be done natively I don't see a point in using 3rd party software…
