Series5 showing OS7.6 up to date.
iPhone was on developer version of iOS15 but updated to latest version and shows up to date. Any ideas?

This is happening on my Series 4 too. My phone was on the iOS 15 public beta, so I removed the beta profile, restarted the phone and used Software Update to get on the iOS 15 GM build. Rebooted the watch too for good measure. Both the phone and watch are claiming the watch is up to date.

Same issue (beta ios15 on watch, and watch left on 7.6).

Resolved on watch > Settings > General > Profiles —> removed Beta profile

Immediately watch OS 8 showed up to update to.
thats so weird, I didnt know the watch got a beta profile if the phone did. I dont run betas on my series 4 unless its a crazy feature, the battery is bad enough on this thing now.

I don’t think my watch had the beta profile, but I also never checked. After updating my phone to the GM build and rebooting both devices to no avail, I finally fixed things by unpairing and re-pairing.
