iPhone 8/Plus Weird ghosting in the screen

There is some kind of a weird grayish line
In the screen of my iPhone
This line is only visible to bright colors
And cannot be seen in Light mode or Dark mode (And also White/Black or Dark Backgrounds)
This iPhone never had any drops or falls or whatever
But I upgraded to iOS 16.6 ig it’s some kind of a bug
Never faced one of these issues before
(Had this for about 3-4years)

had this on a iphone 5c running ios 10.
a reset (and reseating the internal connectors multiple times) fixed it.
does it ever flash/glitch?
have you split water on it or live in a extremely humid area?

also thinking about it it could be possible UV/heat damage?

There are no any humidity nor have I spilled water up
And I have never used it in high temps

might just be age, as me 2016 SE has slight yellowing around the edge and its about 5 years old
but you could try opening it up

I often use it half screen brightness

but you could try opening it up

That looks awfully like a replacement screen. Probably degrading in quality then I'd say.

At this point the repair would cost more than the device is worth so you'll have to decide if you can live with it or want to spend the money to repair it...

My guess is this is either due to mechanical pressure from the body, or a minor defect in some of the display driver lines. In any case, nothing that Apple would acknowledge as a defect. The only sure thing you can probably do, apart from buying a new phone, is to crack the screen so that you can get it repaired by Apple (at a cost, of course).

It wont spread will it ? If so it will be a pain
