Weird occurences with ffmpegx

So i have been using this wonderful app for the most part for sometime now to convert videos for my psp and ipod. Now i have the latest version 0.0.9v and it is perplexing me. I have ripped a number of dvd's i own to .vob files with yadex and just dragged the .vob into ffmpegx selected the .mov profile, tweaked the resolution settings a bit and let it go at it. This worked fine for the first 2 movies then I tried it again and to my utter confusion it starts to encode but it started doing it slightly too fast compared to how long it took the first couple movies. When i came back to check it after a while the progress bar said it was 1051% done!?!?. What is up with this?

Any idea why this is happening oh and this is on a dual 500Mhz g4 tower running 10.3.9
