I've had to contact Apple Support a few times recently, and I have to say what an absolute, disjointed mess.

So far I've had none of my issues resolved, they tried to charge me £300 for a screen that should have been covered by Apple Care and their agents clearly do nothing but cut and paste sycophantic style messages into the chat randomly without even reading what my issue is.

Is it just me, or is it really, really bad?

I won't say it's just you, but my experiences have been great for the most part. The only time I've ever left 'unsatisified' were for issues I didn't expect would get resolved (e.g., iPhone 14 Pro would cause my head unit in my 2020 Tundra to spontaneously reboot - issue was indeed iOS 16.5.x, but I couldn't reproduce it on command).
