We all know what Apple does. First Live Photos, then 4k video recording, all new features that are eager to eat up more of that storage. With new AppleRAW formats and Dolby Vision video, does it make you wonder whether you have enough storage? What storage capacity do you plan to get?

My X is a 256 with 89 free. So another 256 it is. But I have my entire 55GB music library loaded from my Mac on here as well as 50GB of photos/taken videos.

Maybe it's about not upgrading every year, but it's nice to not worry about having to back up anything to anywhere.

I won’t be using Dolby vision on most of my videos, so I’m not worried about that. I also won’t be shooting every photo I take in pro raw either. I already have optimize storage enabled on my phone anyway so I stopped thinking about the size of photos and videos a long time ago.

Not once have I gone over 55gb on my 256gb 8+ therefore I’m going with the 128gb 12 Pro.

Im going 512GB as I'm so absolutely tired of struggling with 64GB on my X and the pain that is iCloud buffering. I legit can't wait to get rid of iCloud.

Made the mistake of going 64GB with the iPhone X as well, so once bitten twice shy and I’ll go with 256GB now. That one oughta be enough. Have iCloud and all that.

I had decided on the 128gb mini but then couldn’t pass up the better cam on the pro but don’t want a true phablet, so I’m going 256 pro, because I want to feel free, coming from a 64gb 8.

Using a XS Max for 2+ years now, I would recommend minimum 256GB. I record 4K videos in 60fps and need to offload the data every 3 months. If you plan on taking photos and only do 4K 30fps, 128GB might be enough.

Stayfyre, which iPhone are you upgrading to?

I thought about going a 3rd year with my XS Max to wait for ProMotion display on 2021 iPhone.

I’m probably going to with 512GB like I have now on my 11 Pro Max but I am thinking maybe of getting a 256GB. Most likely I will stick with 512GB.
