The only thing that all of the rumors and leaks agreed on was that the iWatch would have bunches of sensors, the heartbeat monitor being the least interesting of the bunch. Where did they go? Is it possible that the heartbeat sensor has more capabilities than Apple is letting on? For example, I think it is possible to measure blood O2 levels with such a sensor, at least. And in that case, why wouldn't Apple mention it?

Because all the so called insider like Ko-chu whassisname know jack ****. Sll the rest are clueless too as is the rest of us and he is particular make up crap to get people to invest with him. They only really get any ideas when devices enter into production.

And remember how good iPad 2 and phone 3G were compared to the first versions...

The next one in a year or so will be slimmer with more toys etc - front facing camera?

What happened to the "myriad of sensors"?

Reality.

People were expecting this thing to have all of the functions and more of an iPhone. If the technology existed and Apple knew how to cram it all into the housing, we would've had thinner iPhones.

If you want an iPhone on your wrist, then duct tape an iPhone on your wrist. Otherwise understand that compromises have to be made for size, form, and fashion.

Waiting for FDA approval to mention or even just manufacture?

You may have a point, actually. If Apple wants to market these sensors as medically accurate in any sort of way, they really need FDA approval, and there were several rumors pointing to Apple working with the FDA in the recent past, so this may have some validity. We can only hope.

We still have one more Keynote this year. I bet there are features they aren't ready to announce yet.
