iPad mini What if: iPad mini with Force Touch doubles as Magic Trackpad for Mac?

Sometimes, like right now, I sit at the desk with my iPad mini. I look at the mini, beside my mouse, and lament the Magic Trackpad I cannot currently afford. It gets me thinking, is the iPad mini not the perfect size for a Magic Trackpad? All they'd need to do is give the mini Force Touch (and develop the software functionality)!

They got rid of 3D Touch on the iPhone years ago so I doubt they will bring something similar back for the iPads.
