What programs did you first install on your MacBook?

I am expecting my new MBP to be delivered this week.
Out of anticipation, I have looked into all kinds of cool software to install.
I am a previous Windows user, so all stuff for Mac seems so stylish and tempting!!!
So far, I have looked into widgets and Virtual machine for my Mac.

What are your personal experiences?
What did you rush to install, as soon as you got your MacBook?

On every new Mac I get (including the office one), I install the following, in no particular order:

- Adium
- SubEthaEdit
- YourSQL
- OmniGraffle (once the need strikes - it always strikes eventually, in a mont or two)
- Fetch
- VPN-1 SecureClient
- XCode
- A game that I couldn't run before

(This was my son's black MB, in August) First was Office 2004, then a bunch of Jam Packs since he likes GarageBand. He wants LogicPro 8, but will have to wait 'til he can afford it. Then CS3 and FCStudio. He's a Studio Engineer major in his third year.

I'll be doing a lot of downloading, sorting and searching, unzipping files, etc.
Also, I'll do a little bit of coding, so Xcode is on my list now
Does anyone know if I could use TASM assembler on Mac OS?

Also, I like everything what is 'on the move', trying new stuff))))))


And Colocolo, I loved the "A game that I couldn't run before" on your list!
That's what I used to do first after updating my PC.

Pretty good article on writing assembler code to OSX. Meh.

Firefox, Thunderbird, VLC, Stuffit Expander. Don't really need much else

For x86 tasm related syntax, you can use nasm or yasm. (command line).

If you learn gas (gnu-as) syntax, well as is available. You should compile with gcc anyways using -x assembler-with-cpp, so you can use macros and defines and c/c++ style comments.

You can also embed asm into c source files, and let gcc take care.

As editor I'm using jedit. I should try BBEdit someday though.

I've had mine for a few weeks now and have tried several programs to find out which I like or need. I use Firefox, yahoo messenger, neo office, skype, and vlc. I also have onyx, handbrake, iAlertu, and mac the ripper among a few others.
I would use Adium if it at least had video.
