when I share my location with all family members(5 or 6 or them) on a permanent basis in Find My app, how much extra battery drain does it cause? (phone is a 14 Pro Max)

I want to be able to let them see where I am at any given time. Of course, they won't be looking at it that often, probably just once every couple of weeks.

I don’t think it uses any extra than just using it for yourself. As it has to update its location automatically in either scenario.

My understanding is that Find My would only refresh your location if/when they checked, so as long as they're not constantly checking it should cause minimal battery use.

I have this exact same setup. Nothing difference on battery life (probably very minimal).

iPhone is always pinging a cell tower anyway. Find My data will just go along for the ride.
My guess: insignificant

I know I'm a year and some change late to this discussion, but you can always check your battery usage by app stats. I've had mine on for a few days now, sharing it with one person, and it's only using up 1%.
