Where are the software updates located? I want to delete them and start all over with the beta download.

It's like that for two hours, nothing happens anymore.

I have the exact same problem. I removed the profile, rebooted, and it all starts from zero with extremely slow download speed.

Extremely frustrating, I am trying since morning to downaload it on my test machine.

Is it normal to have an error message about the beta not having a installer package and then automatically going to download 10.15.6 Catalina first ??

/Library/Updates

You need SIP disabled to delete the contents. Boot into recovery, open Terminal, then "csrutil disable".

However, don't bother. It doesn't speed up the download; it'll just get stuck again.

I had the same problem.

Check the install log at

/var/log/install.log

Somewhere there you will find the download URL where the installer is download from Apple ("Install <Something>.pkg", I have forgotten the exact name). Copy that URL and download it with Safari (should be 9+ GB), then install the package yourself and run the installer app from the Applications folder. That's what I did, and it was easier and faster than using System Preferences.
