Where to find OSX Tiger (Intel) ?

Hi Guys,

Anyone know where I can find OSX Tiger for Intel, I've looked everywhere, Amazon, Ebay, I'm only finding Tiger for PPC.. The reason I want it is because I've always been a fan of 10.4, never got the opportunity to try it.. So if anyone can help me out that would be great..

It only exists on restore discs that came with Macs. You can't buy it.

Install discs are specific to the model they came with. They will not work on other models.

There are NO retail Tiger discs.

That's a great way to get ripped off! They're just selling the install disks that came with another Mac. They won't work on any model other than the one they shipped with. They will NOT install on any Intel Mac!

As RJS said, there is only way to get an intel build of Tiger is through restore discs. These discs are machine specific and are useless with any Mac that say sold with Leopard. Any retail version of Tiger is PPC only and cannot be installed on Intel Mac.

The OP is pretty much outta luck.

Maybe call Apple and see if they can sell you a replacement set of restore discs for your iMac. Have the model and serial number handy.

They won't be Tiger restore discs, though, which is what the OP is looking for - Tiger.

I see from his sig his iMac is a new one. Yeah, that's a no go no matter how your slice it since Tiger won't have a lot of the drivers for it anyway. Sorry OP.
