where to get dual desktop images

I've got my 12" PB side by side with a 17" monitor and I'd like to set a continuous desktop. Where can I find desktops like this?

so it's just one background? I assumed you had to have two different ones because you have to separately choose backgrounds on each monitor. I'm new to this dual monitor setup, so I might be missing a basic idea.

How does resolution play into this? Both of my displays are using 1024x768
