Where to seek help for earphone?

I got my iPod Touch 3g from some lucky draw. Now the earphone has some problems like the volume control not working, the mic has problems and etc. Where should i seek help from? And i would like to ask, if i charge my iPod and play at the same time, does it harm the battery? THANK YOU

If it is still under AppleCare (1 year warranty or extended) and you live near an Apple retail store, drop in. The headset is covered under the warranty and they will replace it free of charge.

Should be. They can look up the warranty status for you there. Make an appointment online.

No, I'm referring to the ones that are owned an operated by Apple Inc.

You can also request help online, http://www.apple.com/support/. Click on Online Service Assistant and enter your serial no.

Then you need to request help online, like the person 2 posts ago said. Go to https://selfsolve.apple.com/GetWarranty.do and type in your serial number and it will tell you whether you are covered by warranty and guide you through sending the broken parts to Apple for repair/replacement.
