Which 32GB RAM modules for the 2018 Mini actually exist?

And which one do work with the 2018 Mini?

So far, I've found the Samsung M471A4G43MB1-CTD, which has the same specs as the 2*16GB kit that Crucial sells specifically for the 2018 Mini.

Crucial doesn't seem to sell a 32GB module at this time, neither does Kingston.

Any others?

2*32GB would be about 300 CHF incl Tax here.
That's 1/3 of what Apple asks as upgrade price.

The most annoying part, and it's glossed over in everything I saw, is how difficult the little rubber bumpers on the actual memory modules are to replace. Everything else is rather simple, though reattaching the antenna cable the second time (the first time I didn't seat both modules well) was a little harrowing.

I purchased Timetec (SKHynix) 32gb kit for 160CAD (100USD) from amazon. its their certified apple kit. I tested it before installing it in the mini. put it in a laptop ran ram tests, works great in mini and cheap

Just curious. Isn't the sleep to wake time with 64GBs of ram horribly long? My MM 2018 wit 32GB takes like 7 seconds to wake up.

FYI, Crucial has now released their 32GB modules.

If you use their memory advisor tool for the 2018 Mini, it recommends the "CT32G4SFD8266" as the single 32GB stick, and "CT2K32G4SFD8266" as the 64GB pair. Prices are $158.99 and $317.99 respectively, and do not appear to be part of any Cyber Monday sales.

Just bought 32gb (2x16 gb) of Crucial memory from Amazon Black Friday for £82 instead of £140. Unfortunately, the 64gb stayed at £295.

While installing the Ram on my new Mac mini i7, I also stripped off the thermal paste and applied Liquid Metal.

Geekbench 5 results are
Single-Core - 1126
Multi-Core - 6392

GPU OpenCl vega 56 in Core X eGPU- 52185

The 2018 Mini will accept two sticks of differing sizes, you just loose some of the dual-channel performance benefit that you get with a matched pair. In the end though, if your programs and typical usage are heavy on the RAM usage, having a larger amount of mismatched RAM may still have quite a bit better overall system performance than a lesser amount of matched RAM.

There is simply no need to do a 32GB and a 1GB and I'm not even sure that DDR4-2666, and DDR4 for that matter, is available in a 1GB capacity. If you want 32GB and you don't need any more, a 32GB (2x16GB) Kit is the way to go.
