Hi,
I've just recently bought my first Mac, a new model 24" iMac 2.4G,320G,1G and am looking to try out a few games (ideally native Mac but also Bootcamp) to see for myself whether this machine is okay for games or not. I'm not a hardcore gamer but have played Counterstrike for a few years on my old PC and really enjoy flight sims and driving sims.

I'd like to try out some playable demo's before I part with any cash and just wondered if someone can point me in the right direction? I'm new to the Mac so I'm not sure which websites to go to for Mac gaming.

Many thanks,
Craig.
:)

"Live for Speed" is one of the best racing simulators out there.

For flight sim, well, X-Plane 8 is worth the money. The 60GB (yeah no joke) global scenery is outstanding and the physics are very realistic. However, this is a hardcore flight simulator, I would say, compared to MS Flight Simulator without add ons like PMDG Jets and Flight Environment or other add ons like this.

EDIT:

Also a good source for Mac games (demo, shareware) is Mac Game Files:
