I bought some used iPhones while they were on sale at GameStop a couple weeks ago. I'm not paying for the 8 or X series and the previous 2 gens seem fine. Net after taxes/trades/promo, here's two that I have and will plan to hang on to one of them. I only use about 25-30gb space so both have plenty of capacity for my needs. Both truly are in flawless condition.

I will probably upgrade to the next iPhone in the fall. Of these two specific phone and at these net costs, which is the better buy? Whichever I don't keep, I'll probably sell on Craigslist or to a friend. Thanks!

I would opt for the iPhone 6s 128 GB. Unless you think you need more storage than that, both phones are fairly similar to each other. And the major reason is you have a brand new battery in the iPhone 6s.

Thanks. Speed-wise, I find the 6s and 7 series to be about the same. The 7+ of course has a much larger screen and better camera though. Storage is more than plenty on both.

The 6S would be my choice. Camera, storage and water resistance are only really noticeable differences. I guess the headphone jack could also be thrown in as + for the 6S

The two are not really a direct comparison being different screen size and storage. Choose based on the size screen you need and storage requirement. If they don't align, chose based on priority.

Good point about the 3.5 mm Jack On the iPhone 6S. For some, that's a major consideration between what they would use for that iPhone 6s and iPhone 7.

Maybe I should keep both? :) The smaller 6s for working out (jog, bike rides) and the 7+ as my main daily go-to.

Unless you want/need the larger screen, I would go with the 6s, especially since you plan on upgrading again this fall. The 6s would be my choice anyway as I am not a fan of the larger phones. A 6s is what I am using right now.

Unless you don't see a need to sell your iPhone 6s, you have the advantage of the 3.5 mm Jack with that model over your iPhone 7. So perhaps that's reason enough to retain it.
