Crime, drama mystery set in Ibiza (Spain). A woman from Manchester whose brother disappeared, she who suffered from abandonment issues as a result of this event, is informed 20 years later that his mummified body is discovered buried in the desert (Spain) and he was likely murdered.

She investigates, while wondering how much her brother’s friends knew. Her brother’s friends include a guru, drug dealer, and one who hosts orgys. Into the mix we have Romanian drug traffickers, and a patriarch family whose land the body was found on, who owns a string of night clubs looking for investors to open a casino on Ibiza. Lots of possibilities here. :)

Just finished episode 2 and am still evaluating who knows what. So far, it’s excellent. :)

Episode 3
I’m wondering how her friend Marcus is ever going to survive with the drug traffickers Who have already broken his leg, while Zoe confesses to the police, and Boxer takes care of the problem.
:D

About episode 5, Zoe falls off the marriage faithful wagon, with a surprising partner, at least I was surprised, I mean she shot him with a spear gun... :)

Episode 7 the primary characters have a dinner to get out the baggage that are carrying, and the guru says it’s time to celebrate our decay, time to embrace a spiritual life- I could relate to that from the perspective of a lifetime. :) This dinner turns into some fireworks as real feelings among these friends come out fueled by Marcos’s unraveling personal and financial life. Then there is a revealing family therapy session that follows.

Episode 8- Zoe is still sorting out her feelings regarding family or Boxer, while her father makes progress identifying Axel’s killer...

I realize this might sound like a soap opera, but it’s still good. :D

I really enjoyed it and would recommend it.

It's had quite mixed reviews here but many of the negative ones mention and really rate Money Heist (Pina's other one on Netflix) - something that I've struggled with and could take or leave.

This story has some free wheeling, unexpected elements, including a blend of cultures that pulled me in. Regarding Money Heist, because of this show, I’m thinking about watching it, but will keep your comment in mind. :)

Just finished Season 1, thumbs up. They set up several things for season 2. This link says season 2 is in the works. Something tells me Zoe is not heading back to Manchester.

Watched the first two episodes last night. I'm liking it so far, and even if I didn't it's cool that they had a Finnish guy in a bilingual English / Finnish speaking role in the first episode. That's always a plus.

I'll keep watching for sure, so thanks for the recommendation @Huntn!

The Misty Mountains
Season 1 Final Spoiler

Did you think Anna really killed Axel? Im still not convincing because there were few holes to explain.

She basically confessed, and in a flashback we see it. Now could that be misdirection from the writers? Sure, but Anna would have to have some unknown (at this point) ulterior motive. :)

I’m up to episode 5 and really wished I hadn’t contributed to this thread before watching the entire series. The thread preview has given 2 big spoilers away now

Even though the thread is marked with a big spoiler label, I still go out of my way to mark individual posts with extra spoiler tags when I‘m going to be discussing something significant, just for this reason. :)

I’m sorry that happened. As a rule when I’m watching a show that’s over, but I’m still watching, I try to avoid threads like this until I finish it.

Not from this forum, but other forum and if you read some of reviews in IMDB....they are constantly smashing her verbally. I dont think she is 'the worst' character.
