So I had my white macbook on a table by my bed last night (you know where this is going). When my victory roundhouse kick to VanDamme's face occurred in my dream, my foot demonstrated my awesomeness in the real world and knocked my macbook to the floor.

The thing of course landed directly on the magsafe connector and cracked the housing around it.

It seemed like somehow the thing was still working. I opened it up and it said the magsafe was connected but also gave the unfortunate message "Not Charging".

I looked at schematics for the inside of the case and was convinced I needed to open the thing. I decided, however, to google my problem instead to see if maybe this isn't just some weird fluke.

Then, I found it (hint: answer at the end)

1. Unplug power and take out battery
2. hold down power button for 5 seconds
3. plug in mag safe and wait 5 seconds
4. put in battery and wait 5 seconds
5. hit power button
6. Winning.
