One Apple mystery that I just found - when someone borrows your Mac or iDevice they need passcode or FaceID to see Hidden and Deleted pictures. But - if someone borrow my browser and my account is logged in to icloud.com they don't need to authenticate, simply click Photos and then Hidden / Deleted.

How can this be so?

The idea is that you don't lend people your laptop/phone while logged into anything on your browser - it'll be the same if you logged into online banking and then gave your phone to someone.

However, it's often been the case people hand their phone over to someone to look at photos. After many complaints, Apple listened and added password-protection.

Well, I assume that was their thought process.
