I have my settings set so that when I click Finder > Preferences > 'Show these items on the desktop' > Hard Disks is ticked.
However as you can see from the screenshot, when I click on the icon from the desktop, all of these other items show. I'm sure they're important but aside from putting them into a different folder a) Why are they visible? and b) How do I hide them or set it so that they aren't there?
