Resolved Why I can't Install Xprotect and MRT?

Hello,

macOS Catalina 10.15.6 (19G73)

Xprotect v2127 (Latest version: 1.0 2128, 6 August 2020)
MRT v164

When I try to install Xprotect and MRT I get this errors, Why???

Why do this the hard way? Get SilentKnight and let it do this for you.

I know SilentKnight excellent .app but I prefer to do this task manually...

My question is still why I can not install the packages above in Catalina?
Running macOS High Sierra or Mojave I do not have any issue installing those packages! ??

Update Config Data

If you want to do it manually, just open up terminal.

softwareupdate -ia --include-config-data

That will update XProtect & MRT data if it is not up to date.

This is usually done silently by Apple in the background but sometimes the process is lazy, so this forces the update.

It says right on it that it's a package meant for 10.14, why are you surprised that you cannot install it on 10.15?

If you don't request Software Update to include config data, it doesn't for some odd reason.
