It's been mentioned a little in other threads, but why the HUGE price discrepancies between the iPhones for those of us not in America?

Just using the iPhone 8+ 64GB as an example, as it's the model I went ahead and bought irregardless, but rather begrudgingly.

  • In America costs US $799
  • In Australia costs AU $1,079
  • In the UK costs £699

US $799 with the current exchange rate equals AU $998.23 and £591.33.

Why the massive rip-off for the rest of the world? o_O
