I currently have a Windows desktop PC that I keep around solely for gaming.
I have been using it a lot less since getting bootcamp on my Mac. I have maxed out the GPU specs so it does fairly well for most games. Unfortunately other games seem to be requiring additional power that the tiny GPU that is built in can't serve.
As a result I am now considering what would happen if I took the GTX 980 out of my PC and used it with an external GPU case once High Sierra rolls around.
Would this allow for speed improvements to non-metal apps?
Would the external GPU work in bootcamp Windows?
Is there going to be a problem since my GPU is a NVIDIA GPU? I have heard that apple is mostly focusing on AMD ones.
