I’ve wanted to purchase a HomePod, 4 of them in fact, since it was introduced. The only reason I haven’t is that I can’t say something like: “Siri, play The Beatles Channel”, or “The Billy Joel Channel” or “Yacht Rock Radio on Sirius XM”, without connecting it through my iPhone. Why is Apple afraid of Sirius XM? I have 5 Echo Dots throughout the house that I use constantly and connect to Sirius XM by simply saying “Alexa, play Real Jazz on Sirius XM just that simply. I can also connect to a local radio station that easily. I’d prefer the sound of a HomePod over an Echo Dot any day. Does anyone think that will ever happen with HomePod? The only Apple product I don’t own is a HomePod or HomePod mini.
